“Let what’s in your heart come out in your art”

Thank God it’s Monday. Yes Monday. A day of new and fresh opportunities. As I prepared for Mini Masterson Monday (I may have to start calling it Triple M. Like Guy Fieri’s Triple D Show 😂) anyways, I sat at my table last night pondering what to paint. I had said June would be beach month but my whole month got started off differently than I had planned. But God has turned it for good once again. So I was wrestling with what to paint. I try to take my followers into consideration. My heart has to be in it though or else I don’t feel the impact of the piece will be there. So I said beach, but my heart says “paint flowers”. I mentioned this to a friend and she said “well then, paint flowers!” When I go to God with this question his answer is always “paint what you love!” Then I start the “buts and what if’s”..... Notice how God was direct and simple in his reply to me. We complicate things so much. What if the viewers don’t like it? What if they don’t want to paint that? What about the fact I said it was beach month???? Questions. They can be good but they also can be annoying! Just hush up and paint what you love! Because if it pleases my heart then it pleases the Father’s! He wants his children to enjoy life and the gifts he’s given us. A quote from my dad is “let the love in your heart, come out in your art!” 💛🎨 That gave me such release to be ok with painting flowers! Flowers are what’s in this Artist heart right now. They make me happy. 😃 They make me dream, 🤔 They make me release life through my paintbrush. 🌻🎨 Are you wrestling with questions today in your creative heart? Maybe they are much deeper than a subject on a canvas. After going to the Lord, do what your intuition tells you. Paint what you love. Live what you love, “paint the flowers”. Have a beautiful week. Have a happy week.
